Bridgend Foodbank is one of the largest and busiest in Wales and we are now looking to appoint a manager who will lead and manage the foodbank’s day to day operations.

The person appointed will oversee the effective and efficient delivery of emergency food and any other assistance felt to be appropriate to local individuals and families who are in crisis. You will ensure that all of the 7 foodbank Distribution Centres are delivering services in a consistent manner and that that they are focused on our clients’ well-being. You will also support the Trustees in maintaining effective governance.

You will be a person who is passionate about tackling poverty, and is highly organised, with strong interpersonal skills.  You will oversee a like-minded team of staff and volunteers and act as the Foodbank’s ambassador in working collaboratively with external stakeholders.

This is a full-time post, working 35 hours a week. You will spend a few days in our central office, currently in the centre of Bridgend, and will be expected to travel regularly to the other centres.  Some home working is anticipated.

Salary range:  £30k-£35k per year
