We would like to thank all of our supporters for their amazing generosity throughout 2020 and in particular during the pandemic. Once again in the run up to Christmas donations of food have been flooding in.
This surge in food donations presents us with a challenge though in that our warehouse and back up storage is now full. Also, the current Covid-19 restrictions and social distancing measures mean that we are having to work with lower team numbers. This means that our volunteers are having to work flat out to receive, sort and store the donated items.
We recognise that at this time of year many of you will want to support our work but we would ask that if you are considering a food donation then please will you donate in the New Year (February onwards) instead? This will be a massive help to us as it will give us some breathing space to process the food we have received and at the same time enable us to keep our team of volunteers safe.
An equally important way to also stand with us in supporting those facing food crisis in BCBC is by making a financial donation. Information about how to do this can be found on our website – https://bridgend.foodbank.org.uk
Thank you once again for your ongoing interest and support for our work.
